Where do the antlers come from?
Elk naturally grow and shed their antlers as part of their normal annual life cycle. Naturally shed antlers can then be collected and prepared for use as dog chews.
Are the antlers naturally shed?
Yes. Glacier Lake Chews are made from naturally shed elk antlers. The antlers are collected after they have been shed as part of the elk’s natural growth cycle.
Why do the size, shape, and color vary?
Antlers are natural products, so no two are exactly alike. Variations in color, shape, texture, dimensions, and weight are normal and are part of what makes every Glacier Lake Chew unique.

Which size should I buy?
Start with your dog’s size, chewing style, and previous experience with harder chews. Choose a chew that is appropriately sized so your dog cannot easily swallow it or fit the entire chew into their mouth.

What is the difference between whole and split antlers?
Split antlers are cut lengthwise, exposing the natural interior and giving dogs easier access to the center. Whole antlers retain the harder exterior around the interior, creating a more challenging and typically longer-lasting chewing experience.
Every dog chews differently, so choose a size and style appropriate for your individual dog.
Which product is best for a strong or power chewer?
Whole antlers generally provide a more challenging chewing experience than split antlers. However, the right choice also depends on your dog’s size, chewing habits, dental condition, and previous experience with harder chews.

Using Your Chew
How should I introduce a new antler chew?
Give your dog time to explore their new Glacier Lake Chew. For dogs that are new to antlers, watch how they approach and chew the product. Always supervise chew time and follow the usage guidance provided with your Glacier Lake Chew.
How long will an antler chew last?
How long a Glacier Lake Chew lasts depends on your dog’s size, chewing style, frequency of use, and the individual antler. A determined chewer may work through a chew differently than a dog who enjoys an occasional gnaw.
Rather than promising a specific number of days or weeks, we recommend regularly checking the chew and replacing it when it becomes worn, damaged, or too small for appropriate use.
When should I replace the chew?
Regularly inspect your dog’s Glacier Lake Chew for changes in size and condition. Replace it when it becomes excessively worn, damaged, develops concerning edges or pieces, or becomes small enough that your dog could attempt to swallow it.
When in doubt, it is better to retire an old chew and start fresh.
How should I store an antler chew?
After each chewing session, remove and inspect the antler, then allow it to dry completely. Store it in a clean, cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and moisture. Avoid placing a damp chew in a sealed container, and keep it out of your dog’s reach between supervised chewing sessions.
Are antler chews appropriate for every dog?
Antlers are naturally hard and may not be appropriate for every dog, particularly dogs with dental concerns. Always supervise chewing and regularly inspect the product. If you are unsure whether an antler chew is appropriate for your dog, talk with your veterinarian.

When will my order ship?
Orders are typically processed within 2–3 business days. Standard delivery generally takes an additional 3–5 business days after the carrier receives the package. You’ll receive tracking information when your order ships.
How much is shipping?
Standard shipping is $4.95 within the contiguous United States. Orders of $75 or more qualify for free standard shipping. The qualifying order amount is calculated after discounts and before taxes.
Where do you ship?
We currently ship within the contiguous United States. Shipping to Alaska, Hawaii, and international destinations is not available currently.
